Soldier subclass. [Gunslinger description to come]

Tier 1

  • Reloading Strike [1AP]. (Requirement: wielding a projectile weapon in one hand, with the other hand free or wielding a one-handed weapon.) Whenever you take the reload action, you can make a melee attack and reload your gun in one fluid motion. You don’t need a free hand to reload this way.
  • Raconteur’s Reload [1AP]. Your reload action doesn’t provoke an attack of opportunity.
  • Covered Reload [1AP]. You can take the Cover or Hide action during your reload action.
  • Quick Swap [1AP]. Swapping out a weapon reloads the weapon you’re currently wielding.
  • Into the Fray. At the beginning of your first round in combat, you can take a move action and draw up to two one-handed weapons.
  • Ten Paces. When you disengage, you can move up to 10 feet.
  • Bullet Time [1AP]. You enter a state of heightened reflexes until the start of your next turn. During this time, you have advantage on ranged attack rolls, ability checks and Dexterity saving throws. You also expend one less Valor on the first swift action that expends Valor.

Tier 2

  • Finish the Job. (Requirement: your last attack with a projectile failed, and your other hand is empty or wielding a melee weapon.) Make an additional melee attack with your other hand.
  • Pistoler’s Retort [1AP]. (Requirement: wielding a one-handed projectile weapon.) When an enemy within range misses you by 5 or more, you can use your reaction to make a ranged attack against it.
  • Deadeye. On your first turn, if you’re at least 60 feet from your target and it’s unaware of you, your first attack deals an additional 1d6 precision damage per tier level.
  • One Shot, One Kill. Once per turn, when you reload a firearm, you can load a single bullet instead of its maximum. If you do, the next attack before the weapon reloads deals extra damage for each bullet not loaded.
  • Quickdraw. On the first round of combat, if you aren’t surprised, you can use a swift action to make one weapon attack with a projectile weapon. If it hits a hostile creature, you gain 1 Valor.

Tier 3

  • Gun X Sword. If you damage a foe with a one-handed projectile weapon, it becomes flat-footed, giving you +2 on your next melee attack. If you damage a foe with a melee attack, your next one-handed projectile action doesn’t provoke an attack of opportunity. These benefits are lost if not used by the end of your next turn.
  • Audacious Duelist. Gain a bonus to damage if there are no other creatures within 10 feet of you or the enemy.
  • Vital Shot. On a ranged projectile attack against a flat-footed target, the attack deals an extra die of weapon damage and the enemy takes bleed damage equal to your tier level.
  • Double Tap. Not written yet.

Tier 4

  • Drifter’s Wake [3AP]. During a standard movement, you can make a free attack with each hand.
  • Grim Swagger [2AP]. (Requirement: a one-handed projectile weapon is visible.) Make an Influence or Intimidation check against the Resolve of any number of creatures within 30 feet. On a failure, they’re frightened.
  • Phantom Operative. On ranged projectile attacks, if you’re undetected by the target and it hasn’t taken any actions, you can apply critical damage. These attacks don’t reveal your location.

Conditions used

Flat-footed is used here but the conditions list calls it Off-Guard. See Conditions and Statuses.
